Resurrection Catholic School in partnership with Art-Trek gives all students access to develop their artistic skills. Our faculty has been trained to infuse arts to enhance the general curriculum. The students are exposed to the different types of art and media. In addition, our Pre-K/1st Grade students learn to increase their motor skills by using the mouse in computer class through art using Paint Art, then publish their work of art for presentations.
We offer quality Music Education to all students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade once a week. In addition, 3-5th graders practice with recorders and 6th-8th graders are taught on ukeleles. We recently added an after school program component that teaches 6th-8th graders techniques and performance skills with percussion instruments. All music curriculum is aligned the the California Common Core standards. There are 2 music recitals a year which include our Christmas Concert and Spring Recital.
Our Band Program is for students in grades 4th-8th and meets once a week after school on Thursdays. In addition, students are pulled out of class once a week to practice their instrument one to one with the Music Teacher. Student performances are showcased throughout the year during different school-wide events.
